Boxing: "Klitschko will win in four"
Manny Steward says David Haye will pay for getting Wladimir Klitschko angry - and won't last four rounds when they clash in Hamburg next month.
The legendary trainer is predicting a quick finish for his man when the two fight for the unified heavyweight title on July 2, live on Sky Box Office HD and Sky 3D.Kronk supremo Steward, who always joins the Klitschko brothers for the second half of their preparations, says he has never seen Wladimir so fired up for a fight.
He admits he gets more frustrated than most at the IBF and WBO champion's clinical approach - his last six fights have gone beyond the halfway stage - but says Haye's antics, including that infamous severed head t-shirt, will bring a different animal to the ring at Hamburg's Imtech Arena.
"I definitely get frustrated with Wladimir's systematic, analytic style of boxing - and it's shown in some of his fights," he told Sky Sports News.
"What's so frustrating is he has so much talent and I know what he can do. But it's like a chess game with him.
"I thought Lennox was bad but Wladimir beats him when it comes to thinking too long in the ring.
"But I think emotion is going to be involved in this fight. With Wladimir really, really upset with David, emotion is going to come into this which will make Wladimir much more aggressive than in the past.
"I think it's going to be an explosive first few rounds. But I believe that Wladimir will stop David in four."
Whoever wins on July 2 will be the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis reigned supreme almost a decade ago - with Steward in his corner.
And although the veteran trainer says Haye has the moves of Sugar Ray Leonard and the explosiveness of Mike Tyson, he believes Klitschko will show the world just how good he is.
"Talent-wise he's right there, but the thing with Wladimir is he has not executed," he said.
"The difference between him and Lennox is Lennox would actually do the things he was trained to do; Wladimir actually holds back.
"He actually has more talent than any of the other heavyweights, but Lennox was the best heavyweight I have worked with because he did what was necessary.
"I think Wladimir's overall size, his many fights - nearly 60 now and and a great amateur background.
"There are so many advantages he will have going into this fight, but with a guy like David with his punching power and his speed, is still going to be very dangerous.
"I think what Wladimir will systematically win - but we will have to be aware of some Hayemakers early in the fight."
