Cycling: Sagan claims Swiss win

Peter Sagan won the eighth and penultimate stage of the Tour de Suisse on Saturday.
However, it was Damiano Cunego who strengthened his grip on the overall lead heading into the final day individual time trial.
Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) came out on top in a sprint finish to pip Australian Matt Goss (HTC-Highroad) and Briton Ben Swift (Team Sky), who finished second and third respectively on the 167.3-kilometre ride from Tubach to Schaffhausen.
Swift had launched the first attack in the sprint but he was passed by Sagan as the Slovakian claimed his second stage victory of the event.
In the general classification, Cunego, who finished in the pack just behind Sagan, extended his lead by a further 13 seconds to one minute, 36 seconds, with Dutchman Steven Kruijswijk now his closest challenger.
Kruijswijk had started the day in third but moved up to second spot in place of his compatriot and Rabobank team-mate Bauke Mollema, who slipped to fifth, over two minutes behind Cunego.
