GB trio gunning for Ankara golds

Three Great Britain boxers will go for gold at the European Championships after wins for Andrew Selby and Fred Evans and a walkover for Thomas Stalker.
Selby, a bronze medallist in each of the last two continental tournaments, finally got the chance to upgrade his collection after easing to a slick 24-12 win over another former bronze medallist, Alexandr Riscan of Moldova.Selby, who has been in stunning form all week to blow the 52kg Olympic qualifying slot wide open, said: "I didn't want to come away with another bronze and I always fancied myself to win it.
"You get in there and throw the punches and use your speed and movement. That's what I did and I'm in the final.
"I don't want the silver now though, I want the gold and I'll give it my best."
Evans, the 20-year-old former European cadet champion, shrugged off a persistent nosebleed to win an all-action showdown against Georgia's tough Zaal Kvachatadze, holding onto a hard-earned lead heading into the last round to triumph 20-16.
Evans said: "It was another tough battle but I've come through it again and it's brilliant to get to the final.
"I am going to have another real battle tomorrow but I am not thinking about anything other than gold."
Last year's European silver medallist Stalker reached his second consecutive final when Italian opponent Vicenzo Mangiacapre withdrew from their contest, reportedly due to injury.
Stalker will meet young Irishman Ray Moylette in the 64kg final after Moylette beat Hajiliyev Heybatulla of Azerbaijan 18-16.
The 17-year-old Irish light-heavyweight Joe Ward also went through with a magnificent 18-8 win over Hungary's Imre Szello.
Stalker said: "I've earned that little bit of luck and I can't wait to get in for the final now. I feel stronger and fitter at the new weight and I'm desperate to go one better than last year."
There was disappointment for London teenager Charlie Edwards, who lost his 49kg semi 24-14 to Azerbaijan's Salman Alizada, but he will take great pride from a bronze on his senior international debut.
