Zanetti happy with Gasperini arrival
Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has welcomed the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini as his side's new coach.
Gasperini will become the club's fourth coach in a year when he replaces Leonardo, who is set to accept the role of sporting director at Paris St Germain later this week.Zanetti is convinced that Gasperini, who has penned a two-year deal with Inter, is the right man to guide the Nerazzurri.
"Gasperini is enthusiastic and really geared up," Zanetti said. "I am confident about his quality.
"I also spoke to our president [Massimo Moratti] and he also got the same impression.
"Gasperini will find a good group that is ready to follow him."
Gasperini has been out of a job since being dismissed by Genoa back in November, a club he led for four seasons.
Under Leonardo, Inter finished runners-up in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia.
The Brazilian was under contract with Inter for a further season but has opted to pursue a career away from coaching.
