Clichy set for Man City move
Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy is set to become Manchester City's first summer signing.
According to The Guardian newspaper, both clubs have agreed on a £7million fee for the Frenchman to move to Eastlands. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move out of the Emirates as he seeks a new challenge, with Liverpool and Roma both interested in acquiring his services.
But it appears City have emerged victors in the race to sign the left-back as they have expectedly offered a higher pay package than the rest of his suitors.
City boss Roberto Mancini has been disappointed with the returns on the pitch from £16 million signing Aleksandar Kolarov and has earmarked Clichy as the man to replace him in the starting line-up next season.
Clichy joined the Gunners from Cannes in 2003 and has played over 250 games for the club.
