Cole: Hernandez, Rooney will get better

Cole: Hernandez, Rooney will get better
Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole believes the partnership between Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez will only get better.
Hernandez has impressed many with how fast he has adapted to English football in his first season at the club, netting twenty goals in 45 appearances as he consigned Dimitar Berbatov to the bench, despite the Bulgarian finishing as joint-top scorer in the Barclays Premier League.
Rooney on the other hand was coming back of a stellar campaign the season before, and initially struggled for form and fitness, before famously declaring he wanted to leave United midway through the season.
He then performed an equally-stunning about-turn when he signed a new contract at the club, and gradually worked his way back into form.
Rooney and Hernandez combined for 36 goals last season, and in what is likely to be a frightening prospect for their Premier League rivals, Cole believes their partnership will only get better.
"Chicharito [Hernandez] is a very talented player," Cole said, according to Daily Nation. "He's young and full of talent.
"Well, as for Rooney, he's a phenomenon.
"This partnership will only get better, and that's good news for United."
Following the departures of stalwarts such as Edwin van der Sar, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, United look like a club in transition, and have already confirmed a trio of new arrivals in goalkeeper David de Gea, defender Phil Jones, and winger Ashley Young.
Despite reportedly spending more than £50million already this summer, manager Sir Alex Ferguson is tipped to make at least one more major signing, with a central midfielder still high on his shopping list.
