Juventus, Tottenham race for Rossi

Juventus, Tottenham race for Rossi

Juventus have stepped up their pursuit of Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi after hearing of Tottenham Hotspur's interest.
According to reports in talkSPORT, the Serie A side are very keen to bring him to Turin, with the player's agent admitting interest from the Italian giants.
However, they will have to fight off interest from Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, who is keen to add a star striker to White Hart Lane, especially with the futures of Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko all looking at possible exits.
Rossi's agent Federico Pastorello said: "It is logical that Juventus want to find out about him because he is a top player.
"At the beginning of the summer it seemed that things would move very quickly, but at the moment we are unsure what will happen.
"A number of clubs have shown interest since the end of the season, but the only thing I can say at the moment is that he has a five-year contract with Villarreal.
