US Women's Open start ruined by rain
World number two Christie Kerr and amateur Amy Anderson were tied at the top of the leaderboard when rain caused the abandonment of day one at the US Women's Open.
Kerr had putted on 15 holes and Anderson 12 - both on two under - when the heavens opened.Only 25 players had managed to finish out of the 156-strong field, with Kristy McPherson the clubhouse leader with a two-over 73.
