Olympics: Sandra Raluca Izbasa

Romania's Sandra Raluca Izbasa rocketed to gold in the women's vault final at the North Greenwich Arena.
The European vault champion defeated hot favourite, reigning world champion McKayla Maroney of the United States, after the American sat down her second vault.
Izbasa took gold with an average of 15.191 for her two vaults, ahead of Maroney in silver medal position with 15.083 and Russia's Maria Paseka who took bronze with 15.050.
Maroney, competing after aggravating a fracture in her toe earlier in competition, scored 15.866 with a huge technically difficult Amanar before losing rotation on her second to sit down the vault and score an average of 15.083 to open the door for Izbasa, the final woman to vault.
Canada's Elsabeth Black was given a zero for her first vault as she was judged to have not landed on her feet, before she then bailed out of her second vault due to an injury suffered in the first fall.
German Oksana Chusovitina, the oldest female gymnast in the Games at the age of 37, finished in fifth place.
