Arsenal target £8m Inter goalkeeper

Arsenal target £8m Inter goalkeeper
Arsenal's solution to their goalkeeping woes could come in the form of Inter Milan goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger hopes to complete his search for a new number one goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium by the start of the new season.
While Wojcech Szczesny has impressed between the sticks last season, the 21-year-old Polish shot-stopper remains error-prone and unreliable for the Gunners.
Now according to The Sun newspaper, Wenger has targeted Viviano as the man to keep goal for the Gunners next season and is willing to fork out £8million for him.
Inter have only just paid Bologna £3.8m to acquire the full rights for the 25-year-old, who had been co-owned by the two clubs.
But the Italian international would welcome a move to Arsenal, where he can battle Szczesny for the number one jersey, instead of being Julio Cesar's understudy at the San Siro.
Meanwhile, Wenger is expected to offload calamitous goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, whose series of blunders in goal have led to widespread calls for the club to part ways with the Spaniard.
