Braves sweep Blue Jays

The Atlanta Braves completed a Major League sweep over the Toronto Blue Jays with a 5-1 win.
Pitcher Brandon Beachy struck out 11 batters over six innings and there were two-run homers for Dan Uggla and Brian McCann, Brooks Conrad completing the scoring with a solo pinch-hit long ball in the seventh.The Braves' National League East rivals the Washington Nationals picked up a 10th win in 11 matches as they edged out the Seattle Mariners 2-1 to improve to .500 at 37-37.
