Diego hints of return to Brazil

Diego hints of return to Brazil
Outgoing Wolfsburg midfielder Diego has hinted he could be heading back to Brazil next season.
The Bundesliga club have announced they have placed the 26-year-old on the transfer list after he walked out on the team during Wolfsburg's final game of the season against Hoffenheim, which they won 3-1.
Meanwhile, Brazilian club Botafogo have been linked with the former Juventus midfielder, who have indicated his interest in plying his trade in his homeland.
"Perhaps next week there will be news. Botafogo, no doubt, have shown interest, but there is no agreement yet," he told Globoesporte.
"Going back to Brazil, you get closer to the national squad. All that will be taken into consideration."
"I will continue training separately, here, at Wolfsburg, until I reach an agreement with a club," he added.
"I cannot mention any names of clubs now, after all there are two parties involved. We will see what is best for both. I have my contract and also a professional project. My salary gives me some safety."
The 26-year-old, who has also had spells at Porto and Werder Bremen, joined Wolfsburg from Juventus last summer for a fee of €15.5 million
