Michael Essien eyes move to Italy
Contrary to what his agent claimed earlier, Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is interested in a move to Italy.
His representative Fabien Pivateau insisted the 28-year-old's future lies at Stamford Bridge."There's absolutely no chance of Essien leaving Chelsea," he said.
"It is not true that the club's new coach Villas-Boas wants to release Michael."
However according to The Daily Mirror newspaper, the Ghana international's views differ from that of Pivateau and is eyeing a move to Italy.
The Chelsea hard man has reportedly told his friends that he would consider a move if a proper offer is tabled for him.
Both AC Milan and Juventus are believed to be interested in acquiring the services of the former Lyon midfielder.
It now remains to be seen if Essien will play a key role in new coach Andre Villas-Boas' plans at Stamford Bridge.
