"De Rossi better off with Roma"

"De Rossi better off with Roma"
Former Italy manager has given his take on Daniele De Rossi's future, insisting the midfielder will find it tough away from Roma.
The 27-year-old has been continually linked with moves to clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester City this summer.
But Roma are determined to hold on to their prized asset, whom Lippi believes will be better off staying.
"I don't know whether it would be good for him to move on to find his best form again. All I know is that players who are born in the capital and play for Roma have a very special relationship with the club," Lippi said to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"They have very strong ties and it's hard for them to leave.
"Perhaps it isn't fair to be talking about leaving the club. Roma are still a club of the highest level and have come very close to winning the Serie A title in the past three years."
De Rossi has played over 350 games for Roma, scoring 43 goals.
