Kagawa: "Haven't heard from United yet"
Shinji Kagawa admitted that, despite recent reports, Borussia Dortmund have had no word from Manchester United about his possible transfer.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has just returned to action after breaking a metatarsal in the Asian Cup, and has been linked to a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks. However, he said to De Western: "I can only say that I've found a wonderful spot at Borussia Dortmund, where I can play football. I feel comfortable here."
"I know about [interest from United] only from the newspapers.
"When I watch the Champions League, we see great clubs. If you play well and consistently, it opens up a lot of opportunities."
Kagawa moved from Cerezo Osaka last summer, and scored 12 times in 28 appearances in his debut season in the Bundesliga, attracting attention from several big clubs.
His team-mate, Nuri Sahin, was snapped up by Real Madrid after winning the Bundesliga Player of the Year award, and Kagawa admitted some envy.
He said, "I can understand Nuri's decision, because every professional athlete is always looking for a new challenge.
"For me, I'm focused on working hard to get back into the Borussia Dortmund team.
