Rooney bags hat-trick in United romp

A Wayne Rooney hat-trick helped Manchester United demolish American MLS side Seattle Sounders 7-0 in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.

Park Ji-sung, Michael Owen, Mame Biram Diouf and Gabriel Obertan were the other scorers with a goal each in a one-sided game which exploded into life after the break, which saw United lead 1-0.
