Tabarez: Argentina will be 'very difficult'
Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez is expecting a 'very difficult' Copa America quarter-final clash with Argentina.
Uruguay secured their place in the last eight with a narrow 1-0 victory over Mexico in La Plata on Wednesday.Tabarez's men finished second in Group C behind Chile, who earlier beat Peru by the same scoreline.
Looking ahead to the highly-antipated clash with Argentina on Saturday, Tabarez is unfazed by the early meeting with the hosts but expects a tough test.
"Nothing is written before the matches, but it is a very difficult opponent, we could face now or later", Tabarez was quoted as saying on Copa America's official website.
The 64-year-old also hopes his side go a step further than they did in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals only to be knocked out by Netherlands.
"We want to forget the (World Cup) team. What for? This is another time. One World Cup is more motivating than a Copa America, with all due respect, but we want results", said Tabarez.
