Ronaldo: Real don't need more forwards
Real Madrid hitman Cristiano Ronaldo believes there is enough attacking power to fire the club to glory in the upcoming La Liga season.
And if the club's hierarchy were to heed the advice of the Portugal international, it would mean unsettled Manchester City striker would need to search for another suitor to end his Eastlands nightmare.
Adebayor spent the second half of last season on loan at Real, after falling out of favour at City, and did surprisingly well with eight goals in 22 appearances.
However, since his return to Eastlands, City have made it clear to Adebayor that is no longer in the club's future plans, and have consigned him to playing reserve team fixtures ahead of the upcoming Barclays Premier League season.
Adebayor had initially been hopeful that Real would offer him a way out of his current predicament, but Ronaldo has now gone on record stating that Los Blancos already have enough firepower up front, and do not require further attacking additions.
"We don't need to sign another forward," Ronaldo said, according to The Sun.
"I think we should be happy with the line-up as it already is."
With Ronaldo in career-best form, Gonzalo Higuain successfully returning from injury, and Karim Benzema more than capable of winning a match of his own boot, it does appear unlikely that Real will splash out a reported £12.5million on the former Togo international.
Furthermore, summer signing Jose Maria Callejon has already impressed in pre-season following his £4.5m move from Espanyol, and looks set to provide decent cover for the attacking trio of Ronaldo, Higuain and Benzema.
