Azarenka eases into Wimbledon semis

Victoria Azarenka was not distracted by an early change of scenery as she reached her first Wimbledon semi-final by hammering Tamira Paszek in straight sets.

Rain meant the quarter-final clash was moved to be played under Centre Court's roof after just one game had been completed on Court One.
The lengthy delay caused by the relocation did not put off the 21-year-old fourth seed though, as the highest-ranked player left in the draw delivered a brutal display.
Azarenka had fallen at the quarter-final hurdle in grand slams on four occasions before Tuesday but she outclassed unseeded world number 80 Paszek to secure a 6-3 6-1 victory in an hour and 24 minutes on court to set up a last-four clash on Thursday with Czech Petra Kvitova.
"I'm really glad we managed to play and I'm really happy with the win," Azarenka said.
"I knew when we went back to the locker rooms they said they were going to have a meeting to decide where we were going to play.
"I'm glad we managed to play and thank God for the roof. It is just amazing.
"It's my mum's birthday today [Tuesday] so I really wanted to give her a good gift so I was trying to play beautiful today.
"I stayed really focused and composed through the whole match.
"She was playing well and I was just better at the important moments."
The move to Centre Court meant a veterans' match featuring 2001 men's champion Goran Ivanisevic made way for the more serious business.
Paszek had won the opening game of the match, before it was held up due to the drizzle which made the grass on Court One potentially dangerous.
Once they hit Centre stage, Azarenka began to take charge, and she broke serve three times in a row to build a 5-1 lead.
Azarenka seemed certain to cruise through the set but there was some late resilience from Paszek who had until then been well and truly out-hit.
The 20-year-old Paszek, who reached the fourth round at Wimbledon on her debut four years ago but has struggled to make good on that promise, held serve and then broke Azarenka to get back to 5-3.
However Azarenka broke Paszek for the fourth time in the match, getting the better of a baseline battle which ended with the younger woman netting a forehand, to move a set ahead.
Azarenka started the second set in the same fashion she had won the first.
After holding her serve, the Belarus player broke in the next game, completing a thrilling rally with a forehand that sneaked around the net and landed on the line.
Another service game to love followed as Azarenka looked to close out the match quickly.
Paszek saved a break point to hold in the fourth, but Azarenka continued to dominate on her own service to move 4-1 ahead.
It was soon 5-1 as Paszek found the net with a forehand to leave the match favourite serving for a last-four place.
The spectators who had stayed on Centre saw Paszek gift Azarenka two match points after planting the ball into the net, and the Belarusian clinched victory from the second of those as the underdog found the net to lose the set and the match.
