Roma closing in on Jose Angel

Roma are closing in on the signing of Sporting Gijon defender Jose Angel, according to the player´s agent.

The 21-year-old left-back has been a reported target of Barcelona and Manchester City.
"I don´t know if the deal will be completed today," agent Alfredo Martinez told Corriere dello Sport.
"I know that the two clubs are having meetings.
"Roma are in pole position to acquire him and this is a great opportunity for Jose Angel.
"The arrival of (new Roma coach) Luis Enrique can make the difference but the most important thing is that we are talking about an historic club."
Jose Angel is valued at around £15m and is under contract at Sporting until June 2014.
