Ronaldo tips Silvio to shine at Atletico

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo believes Atletico Madrid newboy Silvio has what it takes to shine in La Liga.

Silvio is coming off the back of an excellent season with Portuguese Liga outfit Braga, helping them reach the final of the Europa League where they lost to Porto.
His rise as one of the hottest defensive prospects in Europe convinced Atletico to bring him to the Vicente Calderon, where he will be part of a new-look side under incoming manager Gregorio Manzano.
Despite being virtually unheard of outside Portugal, Ronaldo has given a glowing endorsement of his compatriot, whom he plays alongside for the national team.
"Silvio is one of the best full-backs around in Europe," Ronaldo told Marca.
"He is very strong physically and is always dangerous going forward."
Paulo Futre, an ex-Atletico and Portugal legend, is also of the belief that Silvio will have plenty to offer his new club.
"He is a pretty versatile player who can play both on the left and on the right.
"He had a very good season with Braga and was vital in their Europa League success.
"He's very smart tactically and has the right attitude."
The 23-year-old full-back has already earned three caps with the Portuguese national team.
