"Bayern still hunting for new signings"

"Bayern still hunting for new signings"
Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger claims the squad has "no weaknesses" yet has vowed to continue with the club's summer recruitment drive.
Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga last season, 10 points behind champions Borussia Dortmund, prompting Nerlinger and new coach Jupp Heynckes to bring several new faces to the Allianz Arena.
Manuel Neuer has joined from Schalke, as has Rafinha from Genoa while youngsters Nils Petersen and Takashi Usami have been brought in with a view to the future.
Nerlinger was bullish when asked to assess the squad although he insisted there would be further arrivals.
He told the Bild newspaper: "We have taken a big step forward. We have a team that is very balanced.
"I can find no weak points in the team and we have not yet completed our planning.
"Neuer embodies class, as a character as well as a player. And in Rafinha we have a right full-back with high technical qualities to drive us forward."
Nerlinger warned, however, that the club would not be held to ransom on other targets, Jerome Boateng and Arturo Vidal.
"The position is unchanged," he said. "Manchester City and Leverkusen have stated their positions.
"The players want to come but not at any price.
"We are not willing to pay transfer fees that are devoid of reality. Therefore we are looking for alternatives."
Nerlinger was also delighted by the return of Heynckes for a third spell, after two successful years at Bayer Leverkusen.
He added: "As a 16-year-old he integrated me into professional training and then we worked together briefly in 2009 and again now.
"He is a world-class coach with a tremendous wealth of experience, great human skills and social skills.
"It is a lot of fun working with him."
