Westwood with work to do at Open
Lee Westwood needs a top-two finish in the Open this week to have a chance of regaining the world number one spot from Luke Donald.
Six weeks after going top for the first time with a play-off victory over Westwood at Wentworth, Donald stretched his lead by taking the Barclays Scottish Open by four shots at Castle Stuart near Inverness. If Westwood wins his first major at Sandwich on Sunday, Donald would have to be second to remain number one, while if Westwood is second alone Donald will still stay top with a top 21 finish.
