Swedish woe for Tommy Robredo

Swedish woe for Tommy Robredo

Tommy Robredo's injury woes continued at the Skistar Swedish Open on Monday.
The two-time former champion was forced to quit the day's only first-round match at the tournament.
Up against Italy's Filippo Volandri, Robredo was trailing 7-5 5-5 when he decided to retire due to a thigh injury.
The Spaniard, a former top-five player who won in Santiago earlier this season, initially damaged his thigh at Indian Wells in March. It also forced him to quit during a match at April's Monte Carlo Masters.
He returned at Wimbledon but lost in the first round.
Top seed at the tournament is home hope Robin Soderling, although second seed David Ferrer is fancied to do well after a fine run of form on the clay this season.
Both players have byes into the second round.
